If you are an EU citizen who was resident in the UK on 31st December 2020 you should submit an application under the EU Settlement Scheme if you want to continue living in the UK after 30th June 2021. Your family members who are not EU citizens themselves might be able to apply to remain in the UK under the EU Settlement Scheme as well, although the rules that apply to them are slightly different.
This page will be updated to include information on the UK immigration laws that apply to EU citizens and their family members now that the UK is no longer a member of the EU, and the transition period has come to an end. If you’re an EU citizen or family member of a citizen, and you have questions about your status in the UK, or questions about obtaining permanent residence in the UK, or applying for UK citizenship, please contact me to arrange a consultation.
